1961 ~ 1965 Marconi Marine, Aden Depot, repairing communications equipment, radar and other navigation aids, Sperry, SG Brown and Arma-Brown gyro compasses and auto pilots on ships of all nationalities passing through the Port of Aden. My website 'The Colony of Aden' is a record of Aden as it was at the time I worked there. 1965-1969 Marconi Marine Cape Town, Inspector in charge of technical staff repairing and installing equipment on Merchant Ships passing through South African Waters. 1969 ~ 1973 Marconi Marine, Head Office Chelmsford, Essex, Communications Section. 1973 ~ 1985 National Service Manager for a white and brown goods manufacturing company in South Africa, based in Johannesburg. 1985 ~ 1998 Director of a UK PLC (manufacturer of electrical and electronic components). 1998 ~ Retired. |
